Sony Mini Dv Camera Software
Hi, first post here.
How can I set-up OBS to capture both video and audio from a Sony DCR-TRV22E PAL MiniDV camera? I can capture the video stream in OBS but not the audio. I'm using DV out of the camera by FireWire 400 / FireWire 800 adapter to Apple FireWire 800 / Thunderbolt 2 cable in to a MacBook Pro. The Source for Video Capture Device shows 'DV-VCR' but creating a Source for Audio Input Capture only shows 'Default', 'Built-in Microphone' and 'ZoomAudioDevice' (the MacBook Pro is used for Zoom meetings.) Have I set-up OBS incorrectly? I'm able to capture the video and audio from this camera using these cables to both iMovie, and to QuickTime Player, but QTP seems to have limitations on how long it can record. So the physical connection between the camera and the MacBook Pro is okay. I'm running OBS Studio 25.0.8 and the MacBook Pro is running MacOS Catalina 10.15.5 . Thanks in advance, and what a great project this is! Comments are closed.
